What people are saying.

  • This is my favorite kind of book. It teaches kids how to use their imagination! I love it when my 3 year old daughter can just play with toys or stuffed animals and talk with them. It shows such great imagination and creativity. The more screen time kids have, I feel like they are losing this part of life. Tuck is the perfect example of showing kids how to make the best of a bad weather day and use your imagination to do whatever you want. Tuck takes T-Rex on a trip to the zoo. His imagination is so good that the readers feel like the book actually takes us there. We get to learn about lions, giraffes, elephants, monkeys, crocodiles, and penguins. The book ends with a great surprise, the rain stops and they get to go to the zoo for real. The illustrations are a perfect match for this story and really bring out the fun adventure that T-Rex and Tuck go on. If you love this one like I did, there are many other T-Rex and Tuck books you can read too.

  • It's no secret that I love children's books. And this one is a sheer delight. Tuck wants to go to the zoo, but it's raining, so he and his best friend T-Rex imagine what it would be like to be there anyway. Tuck tells T-Rex all sorts of amazing facts about the animals at the zoo as they visit different animals and explore. Tuck reminds me so much of my youngest. He loved dinosaurs and elephants and could tell you fact upon fact about them. I remember being at the zoo with him and we were at the elephant exhibit. He was probably 6. A girl was drawing the elephants and had a book open next to her. He walked up and very politely told her that the elephant in the book was an Asian elephant and the one she was drawing was an African elephant. She was very sweet with him. It's a fond memory and one that was very much him. This is an adorable story, geared towards littles, but a delight for anyone to read. The illustrations are beautifully done. It's the first in a series and I can't wait to see what other adventures Tuck and T-Rex have. This is a book I will share with my grandchildren.

  • “What an adorable book if you have adventurous and curious littles! so cute, and you can get your child talking about different animals you might see at the zoo! We cannot wait for more T-Rex and Tuck books!

  • As far as I'm concerned and in my head, I just read T-Rex, Tuck, and Diann Explore the Zoo! I added myself because this book was so detailed in words and illustrations, that I really felt like I was on the zoo journey with T-Rex and Tucker!! While children are the target audience for this read, I must say that I enjoyed taking a break from adulthood to let my imagination run free.
